Parapsychology

n. The field of study concerned with psychological phenomena not explainable by the laws of physics, especially extrasensory perception, telepathy, psychokinesis, precognition, and clairvoyance. The field is controversial, most scientists holding the opinion that the supposed phenomena observed result from poor experimental design, or are mere statistical artifacts or in some cases deliberate fraud.
