‖n. pl. [ NL., fr. Gr. &unr_; other + &unr_;, &unr_;, body. ] (Zool.) An order of fishes, comprising the flounders, halibut, sole, etc., having the body and head asymmetrical, with both eyes on one side. Called also Heterosomata, Heterosomi.
