Dryobalanops

‖n. [ NL., fr. Gr. dry^s oak + ba`lanos acorn + 'o`psis appearance. The fruit remotely resembles an acorn in its cup. ] (Bot.) The genus to which belongs the single species Dryobalanops Camphora, a lofty resinous tree of Borneo and Sumatra, yielding Borneo camphor and camphor oil. [ 1913 Webster ]
