n. [ F. l'herbe de Saint Pierre. See Saint, and Petrel. ] (Bot.) (a) A fleshy, suffrutescent, umbelliferous European plant (Crithmum maritimum). It grows among rocks and on cliffs along the seacoast, and is used for pickles. [ 1913 Webster ]
